Four seasons in the USA

The four seasons - spring, summer, autumn, and winter - vary greatly in weather conditions in different parts of the United States. Winter in California can be hot, and winter in New York can bring snowstorms, but, nevertheless, these are two winter periods.

Spring is a time of thawing weather, when cold and snow in winter are replaced by sunlight, mild temperatures, green grass and flowers. During this season, one can see sleeping bees and butterflies, and see birds flying.

Summer is the warmest, longest and busiest of the four seasons. Students have about two summer months off from classes, and, of course, there are more young people outside in this season than in any other. It is not uncommon to see people in shorts, T-shirts and sunglasses.

In autumn, farmers reap a harvest, the falling leaves change color to a magnificent orange, red and yellow. These colors are usually associated with autumn itself.
